Harper is 2 years old and was brought into the shelter after being found as a stray over one year ago. She has been patiently waiting for someone to notice her ever since, and has been nothing but a very good girl in all her time at the shelter. Harper is around three years old and is a very pretty mixed breed dog. Her tail has been docked but when she wags it her entire body wiggles with happiness!
Harper currently shares her kennel with a young male of a similar size to her and they get on very well. She can sometimes get a bit grumpy if he gets overexcited and bounces into her, but most of the time they get on well and share their living space without issue.
Harper loves going out for a walk and is fairly good on the lead. She can be hypervigilant at first and is very aware of her surroundings - she likes to know what is going on around her. We think that she would be better suited to a home without cats, but she can be homed with other dogs and children aged 6+ in our opinion.
Harper needs a home in a semi-rural location - we think an urban city would be too overstimulating for her and she would struggle to adapt. She would prefer a home with direct access to a secure garden, and with a family who lead a moderately active lifestyle.
Harper is very trusting with people and would do great with some basic training. She is intelligent and would learn new things quickly if someone gave her some 1-2-1 focus. Although we can’t be certain of her breed mix there’s definitely some smart dogs in her genetics!
Harper will travel with a UK registered charity and a full package of vet care.
